About Beauty of India
From heart to heart – since 1999.
Beauty of India was born from a journey and a love for India's colours, scents, crafts and people. In 1999 I stood at my first market at Sergels torg in Stockholm. Since then the business has grown into a web shop, a warehouse shop in Årsta and a pop-up shop that travels to markets, fairs and festivals around Sweden.
Who am I?
My name is Anette Sidkvist and I run Beauty of India. I love colour, meeting people and finding products that feel personal, useful and beautiful.
The personal meeting is still an important part of Beauty of India. You are welcome to ask, touch, smell and try when you meet me at markets or in the warehouse shop.
How I work
When I travel to India I buy directly from suppliers and smaller companies that I have often worked with for a long time. I value personal relationships and knowing more about the people and companies behind the goods.
Many of our textile products are also made from recycled saris and other older fabrics, which makes every piece unique.
